Since I posted the article about increasing traffic using thewiki Network, I have been receiving anonymous email registrations
It was not long after I posted that you can get higher traffic if you publish articles on thewiki Network. Link to the site is below;
Since then, I have received so many registrations from anonymous mail ids, which are not responding, even after getting registered.
I thought these email ids may be some kind of bots that are just trying to create as many accounts as possible to post their website link, but nothing was happening.
I allowed everyone to register and then also there was pin drop silence as if people have just written before Thanos snapped his fingers.
There is no activity on those accounts and they don't even accept friend requests !!! strange …
The cherry on top is that all the email ids are from use and throw email providers.
Why am I telling you this all?
This is not to tell and stop people from registering, but I am trying to encourage people to register from their original email ids, which will receive notifications if someone added you as their friend or even if someone sent a message to you.
This is also because its not about having a marketing tool only, but also a platform for writers to connect and share ideas.
I am not a believer in one identity on all platforms
Facebook had a vision of creating a platform where everyone has their original identity and where people interact with each other genuinely.
But you know what, sometimes anonymity is what boosts creativity.
I might have an awesome story to tell, with really great learning, but I might think that people may judge me, therefore I may not write anything, and in the end, we will not be able to hear the story at all.
On the other hand, a platform, that allows people to genuinely be anonymous and write down their feelings and stories, will have more scope for genuine and original stories which have the power to influence people across the globe.
This requires platforms to be such that they allow people to create user accounts that are anonymous, but still have the ability to connect with people, and that is by having authentic email addresses, that are reachable.
You may choose any profile pic and username as you may like, but having an email id that is reachable and genuine is required.
Sometimes I think writing is really awesome, because I keep on writing every now and then, and I also believe people like me just want to write because they like pressing laptop buttons and hearing the “click” sound.
This is so addictive that sometimes I keep on writing and also include the paragraphs that are not relevant to what I am writing — same as I am doing now.
